FEE Flagship Course Available for Export
05/01/2005
Austin, Texas (May, 2005)—The Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence announced that its flagship course “Entrepreneurial Journey” has been made available for export. With success with roughly 1500 students over the past 17 years, EJ’s proven framework makes the course an obvious choice for new entrepreneurship teachers.
Already among the top rated classes at the Acton School of Business, the Price School of Business at the University of Oklahoma, and at Hardin Simmons University, EJ leads students through the life-cycle of a business with up to 26 cases and supporting materials. The course framework provides a structured approach to a chaotic subject.
“There are so many successful entrepreneurs that want to give back by teaching, but don’t know how to get started. We designed the teacher training materials with new teachers in mind,” says Steven Tomlinson, Director of Curriculum Development at FEE.
Dr. Nancy Kucinski, who teaches the course at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, says, “The course framework and introduction, assignment sheets, and supporting materials let me introduce and teach a proven course. What’s more, the lessons in EJ present an incredible learning opportunity for my students. They are engaged in every discussion.”
To license the curriculum, would-be teachers go through a distance training process that includes case teacher materials from Harvard Business School and FEE and a visit to a case discussion classroom. The training culminates with a consultation with a FEE master teacher.
