The FEE Hires Former Graduate as Director of Outreach
09/03/2006

Austin, Texas (September 3, 2006) – The Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence (FEE) recently hired Helen Mitchell, a recent graduate of the Acton School of Business, as the Director of Outreach. Mitchell will help the Foundation in its efforts to spread the FEE curriculum and model to other universities.

In 2006, Mitchell received her MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business where the FEE curriculum and teaching model has been fully implemented. She has a background in international business and policy, including stints as a Research Fellow for the Liberalni Institute in Prague and as a Research Assistant and Outreach Coordinator for the Cato Institute in Washington D.C.

Her familiarity with the FEE curriculum at Acton makes her the ideal fit for the position, according to Georgia Spaeth, Executive Director of the Acton School of Business. “Helen is uniquely qualified for the role,” said Spaeth. “We’re excited that she felt passionate enough about her experience with the FEE curriculum at Acton that she decided to join the team.

Mitchell seemed just as excited about representing FEE.

“As a recent graduate of Acton who has been exposed to both lecture and Socratic methods of teaching, I recognize first-hand the value of case-based teaching and experiential learning,” Mitchell said. “That’s why I am thrilled to be involved in spreading the Foundation's courses and teaching method across the country.”
